A's Baptism

We were blessed to have my dad participate in A's baptism.
As I was standing up front, holding our little girl, listening to
dad charge us as parents  about our
GREAT responsibility to "raise her up in the ways of the Lord" I felt
a sense of helplessness. Essentially her physical needs are 'easy' (for now)
to meet but her spiritual needs can only be met through
hearing that there is no sweeter name than Jesus.
Jesus, the reason we had our child baptized. We give her
back to Him as He gave her to us. Without Jesus
we are all helpless babes looking for the water that satisfies our soul!

Baby A arrived yesterday at 11:24! She weight 8.28 pounds and was 21 inches long!
What an amazing wonderful blessing from God!

36 weeks down

Almost there

There is something about being 36 weeks pregnant and seeing all of A's
little clothes hanging in her closet that makes it seem real. No, these last 4 weeks
are not going to last forever, regardless of feelings and A will arrive
in God's timing and not a minute sooner.
Yes, He is our God and I will praise Him, not only for the blessing
in carrying this child, a covenant child, but for His endless
mercy, grace and forgiveness!

The Chair

Husber and I like going to estate sales simply because you never know what you will find.
Tonight we stumbled upon this antique child chair that I thought too sweet
to just walk past without at least contemplating buying!
It just needed a little dusting to be part of our 'living room' decor. 

Butter and Syrup

Thanks to mama D and I now have a waffle maker.
I tried it tonight  and the only mess was moving the
iron and finding the overflow on the counter. Yes, now I know
why mama always put a plate or pan underneath it!
