Dry and Hot

While I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to the cooler temperatures today, much of Texas is dry and hot resulting in massive fires. May God have mercy on us and send some much needed rain! (Photo courtesy of  Fox News.)

Kitchen Aid

I was very excited to receive this fun mixer attachment from my dear mama and  DB!  

The sides of the bowl stay clean, thus not need to use a spatula!

And It Begins

Football/Band season. When your husband leave at 7:30 am and gets home 12 to 13 hours later. 

We lost by 10 (or so?) points but the kids sounded great (to my untrained ear) on their first field  performance!

I (and Tadpole) were thankful to make it home before I turned into a pumpkin  and before the large bugs that congregated around the lights attacked our flesh! (So maybe there weren't THAT many but they were large and  made their presence known!)

Today was our first ultrasound at 12 weeks 4 days. "Tadpole" was moving all around! How amazing to see God's gift of life so small, yet so clear, with arms and legs moving around! 

The Ants Go Marching...

When you have a sink prone to ants don't forget and leave a harmless spoon therein.  You think they are contained until you lift the dishcloth exposing many more. The dishcloth is in the garage and the ant bait is out. At least they are not cockroaches!
